What is UX Design?
User experience design focuses on creating products and digital environments that are easy and enjoyable for people to use. It involves thinking about the needs of the person using it and making sure the design meets those needs.

The goal is to create products that not only work well but that people love to use!

What We Offer
Live Lectures And Workshops
With Flex Into UX!, you will learn design thinking fundamentals from current industry experts. With live lectures and hands-on projects, you'll flex your brain muscle with topics including:

Intro to the UX design process including user research methods, wireframe prototyping & testing approaches

Human-centered design concepts

Visual design principles and tools

Lectures and workshops will be hosted at the Brooklyn Public Library Central location and offered either in-person or virtually.
Industry Professionals
All workshops and lectures are facilitated by industry experts currently working in User Experience Design. Brooklyn Public Library and Kingsborough Community College staff will also be available to offer career development and educational support.
Services
As students proceed through the program, an array of support services will be available, including soft skills prep and assistance finding and enrolling in further educational programs.

Whether you are new to UX or have some design experience, our events will offer knowledge and skills for your career.

Lead a workshop, give a lecture, mentor participants. We have multiple ways to contribute to the program. Time commitment is up to you.
